Onwards and upwards here at Quanah Park. Currently in the 'quiet' time (really??) of the stud's annual cycle with mares in foal looking in great nick and the weanlings going gangbusters as always once they do not have to share their hard feeds with Mum's anymore!

We only have four homebred prospects for the 2020 Magic Millions Yearling Sales and they are great types. The oldest is a colt by PRESS STATEMENT out of our beautifully bred winning mare Texas Spur who is currently in foal to All American. We will be hoping that the first runners of Press Statement make an immediate impact of course but his quality does speak for itself and his sale results have been so very promising.

Quanah Park will also hope to present a stunning filly out of the first crop of the outstanding future sire prospect STAR TURN. The first foal from our young Snitzel mare Little Lies - now here is a very current high performance family. Her wonderful running family has amongst its ranks the very promising Hawkshot, already a Group winner by the exciting sire Fiorente. Little lies is back in foal to the ever reliable source of class in Magnus and for those breeding experts out there check out this theoretical mating. Imanun, one of our older stalwarts has produced two exceptional types for us and is now in foal to All American. A strong Encosta de Lago mare we bought her in foal to Stratum. The resultant foal is now named Classy Stratum and going on jockeys and trackriders opinions she is exactly that. Imanun's weanling foal is a colt to Awesome Rock and he is without a doubt a very classy bloke. A very tall beautifully balanced colt with exceptional movement he very much takes the eye and he will do both his sire and Mum very proud.

Noting the aforementioned sire Fiorente we have our young Dane Shadow mare Eyelash in foal to him. We are quietly excited about this foal prospect as Eyelash comes from a consistent source of high class runners.

Quanah Park has some more younger additions to our small broodmare band all with some good strong bloodlines. Spangled Image hails from the brilliant Belgravia family (Old Comrade etc...) and is in foal to Sun Stud's up and coming stallion FIGHTING SUN. Champagne Charger - a tall strong Choisir mare from the immediate family of New Zealand champion Champagne - was sent to Universal Ruler for her first crack at being a producer.

Also in foal to Universal Ruler is I Love Rubies. Rubies has had some set backs in her stud career however her yearling Magnus colt is a class act and her weanling Mahuta filly is a very masculine looking big strapping filly. She will produce a cracker to Universal Ruler without a doubt.

As a small breeding operation we have been fortunate to have most of our yearling nominations accepted into the Magic Millions Premier Yearling Sales over the last few years. Our own youngsters and those of clients youngsters that were born and raised at Quanah Park continue to represent the EQ8 brand in the post race mounting yard on a very regular basis. We always strive to give the very best of care to any horse which sets foot on Quanah Park. We are often trusted with horses that come here which require post surgery aftercare, treatments for various ailments and injuries - horses that need that something extra. We are very lucky to have the support of professional service providers of the quality of Baldivis Veterinary, Body Language Equine and Eclipse Equine to name just a few and if clients have a previous personal choice we are happy to accommodate that choice if necessary.
We hope you enjoy our website – compiled by our good friend and computing type, Ian McAllister, whose patience has no boundaries. Ian, a horse breeder and owner of many years standing (yes, definitely a patient man!) does not divulge this OTHER talent to many..............perhaps he should.
